Hip Hop is a form of musical expression and artistic culture that originated in African American communities during the 1970s in New York City.
Hip hop dance now encompasses many varied styles that include Locking, Popping, Breaking (break dance), Lofting, Vogueing, Jacking, Waving, Tutting, Smooth L.A. Style, or Hard hitting, New school & Old school to name a few. Seen most commonly in today’s video clips and dance movies, Hip Hop is one of the more popular forms of dance we offer at the studios.
DLDC is looking forward to entering our Hip Hop routines into competitions in 2021.
