Established in 1985 and for those 35 years always lauded by many in the industry as a “go to” studio for that professional approach to the entertainment business. D.L.D.C. continues to this day to remain one of the top performance studios in Australia.
Under the guidance of the studios credentialed faculty, students will take calculated risks and set goals that extend and challenge them not only physically but also mentally. A culture of individuality helps to breed students prepared to also think and create for themselves.

With past students singing, dancing, choreographing, producing, and entertaining all over the world, your dreams of a career performing can become reality. Some of their credits include dancing for Kylie Minogue “Aphrodite”, Michael Jackson’s “This is it” Christine Aguilera, Neyo, Kelly Rowland, Kelly Clarkson, Tokyo Disney, Universal Studios Japan, Brian McFadden, Guy Sebastian, The Australian Ballet (2010 Telstra Award winner), Expressions dance company, Leigh Warren Dancers, Moulin Rouge and cruise ships the world over. Others are choreographing for The West Australian Ballet, X-factor UK and Australia, Australia’s Got Talent, Australian Idol, So You Think You Can Dance (Season 1, 2 & 3), Kelly Rowland, Brian McFadden, Human Nature, Jess Mauboy, Paulini, Cassie Davies, Delta Goodrem. Some have held leading roles in some of Australia’s most popular musicals including, Jersey Boys, Buddy Holly and Fame, also roles in Boy from Oz, Grease, West Side Story, Jolson and more… Singers from the studio have sung backing vocals for INXS, Mel B, Altiyan Childs, Sydney showboat, Universal studios and X-Factor (session singing)..

DLDC also has the unique ability to offer real world entertainment experiences. Artistic director Simon Lind brings opportunity to students who are serious about a career in the entertainment industry.  Simon is one of the countries leading choreographers, currently working as resident choreographer on Australia’s Got Talent and X-Factor amongst many other corporate and television productions. He presents the chance for hard working and talented students to be hand picked and paid to perform on shows like Australia’s got Talent in Sydney and Melbourne on a regular basis.  This gives invaluable insight into the industry as it operates in today’s world.

DLDC launched a second studio located in New Farm in 2020 and we are thrilled to be extending our dance family. Training dance technique to Primary aged students from 3 years to 13 years. This is a new venture for our studio, and we look forward to reaching north side dancers with this new studio location.
